The NZFIC (New Zealand Federation of Image Consultants) welcomes members from New Zealand and overseas at any stage of their career in image consultancy, including stylists and personal shoppers. We also encourage members from affiliated sectors such as personal development, health, spa, beauty and the retail sector.
The NZFIC organises regular seminars, master classes (IFIC members only), and an annual conference to aid personal and professional development as well as providing an important platform/opportunity to network with other image consultants. Download a Membership Application.
History
NZFIC’s mission is to promote best practice in the industry, to set and develop standards for the image profession and to promote the image industry in New Zealand and overseas. The New Zealand Federation of Image Consultants was founded in 2006 as the professional image body in New Zealand, and originated due to overwhelming demand from consultants within the industry seeking to share a platform to grow and develop professionally with like-minded people. NZFIC is run by an Executive Board of working image consultants.
International
The New Zealand Federation of Image Consultants is affiliated and closely linked with the International Federation of Image Consultants in the United Kingdom (IFIC). Consequently, members in New Zealand are encouraged to also join the IFIC and go forward and take the prestigious IFIC/City & Guilds of London Masters Award in Image Consultancy.
The International Federation of Image Consultants (IFIC) London was set up in 1988 as the professional image body in the United Kingdom. The IFIC is the awarding body for the professional qualification for image consultants in partnership with the City & Guilds of London Institute.
