The IFIC / City and Guilds IFIC Masters Award is an important step in the career development of an image consultant.
When you join the NZFIC you will become an Associate Member. All members are encouraged to work towards taking the IFIC / City & Guilds Masters in Image Consultancy and becoming an Associate Member (AMIFIC) and then a Master (MIFIC). With a combination of time and service to the image industry, a Master can then be awarded Fellowship of The Federation (FIFIC).
When can I take the IFIC/City and Guilds IFIC Masters Award?
It can be taken once foundation training in the core subjects is completed and experience working with clients has been gained. This professional qualification is only open to members of NZFIC and IFIC; full details are given on joining.
The core subjects are those included in IFIC/City and Guilds IFIC Masters Award:
- Colour Analysis
- Style Assessment (for men and women)
- Tuition in Basic Cosmetic Application
If you are considering taking the IFIC Masters Award, then come along to a Masters Preparation Day. This is only for members who have submitted their Portfolio of Evidence.
